I now live in what used to be the Greater Detroit Metropolitan Area, in a small bedroom community out side of Detroit, Royal Oak Michigan ! While living in Salem Oregon the Local Newspaper was bought out by the Folks From USA Today and they shipped in a very bright Floridian to be the Editor , Buddy Hayden. Buddy understood how non natives distrusted [Newbies] so he went on a campaign to let all of us Unwashed vent our feelings ! Buddy knew that Small Town Letters to the Editor Space and Comment’s were a popular read ! My Royal Oak Tribune has the same policy ! We the unwashed and misrepresented can vent our opinions, even when we don’t make sense ! Reading the Sound-off may not be like reading Disturbing the Universe by Freeman Dyson, we of the unwashed are not like the Founders of Google educated in In Semantics, General Semantics, and Math ! But then Larry Page co-founder of Google is from Michigan and Google has an office in Birmingham Mi! Yes We the unwashed can be proud ! Part of my daily fun is reading Sound-off !
