The Sphere Related Content Widget connects with an icon link at the end of your blog posts. When a reader clicks on the icon link, we find blog and media articles related to your blog posts. See it in action on over 1 billion article pages on popular blogs and media sites like the New York Times and GigaOm. The Sphere Related Content widget works best on topics that are being actively discussed in the blogosphere and news media.
Yesterday we passed 125,000 networks on Ning. Wahoo! While some think that this number is meaningless, this growth in social networks also reflects a sizable jump in page views, uniques visitors, and registered members of networks which continue to grow rapidly as well (and which, I would add, are significantly higher than what is suggested by comScore’s U.S. only samples referenced recently by a few folks). Apparently many athletic directors and principals were afraid the book would affect their hopes of turning high school sports into a pay-off; they disinvited me after their librarians and English teachers booked me for school appearances.
